Reader Matt Z. spotted yetanotherPSPknockoff in the wild, this one at a computer show in Pittsburgh. C'mon, guys, if you're gonna have the nerve to copy a product's name along with its design, at least take the time to get the logo right.
What a cheek for them to actually be advertising this at an expo or what have you! Its bad enough them selling this crap in a shoddy chinese "gift" store. Just imagine your kid's face unwrapping this come Christmas!!
its pretty amazing how many companies like the PSP's sleek design. It just goes to show how how nice it looks. So many people probebly think thier crappy devices might sell if they make them look like something thats close to an authentic PSP.
These companies need to learn that you can't just reproduce the greatness that is the PSP.
Well the worst part wouldnt be the day he opens it at Christmas, but the day he takes it to school to show it off to his friends. And they all laugh and laugh....
Poor kid would be ridiculed by the everyone he knows.
Similar to the year 1985 I recieved a Cobra Skimmer Boat, rather then the GI Joe Hovercraft I truly wanted. There was disapointment..selfish greedy disapointment.
No, these wouldn't play PSP games. These were strictly MP3/MP4 players. The gentleman that had these kinda knew they were "bootleg" and didn't represent them as a real PSP just that they were MP4 players that looked like a PSP.
what the hell i hope no kids wind up with that at xmas. the reason there are no DS knockoffs is because the DS is shit. lol lucky mines real... i guess thats why i make it a point to buy things from and actual retailer, not a shitty stall that according to the government, never existed... with a retailer like kmart or eb you can take it back and say: gimme my money or i'll see your ass in court.
Why does it seem like every bootleg psp and ds system seems like a waste of manufacturing r&d? why would someone even think about buying one of these. I don't mind that they are copying someone else's design, it just seems rediculous and a total waste of resources.

Haha these psp clones are too funny.
The craziest thing is that there are probably kids who really happy they have a new psp...unaware that its a cheap knock-off.

Man, I hope no kids get this at Christmas, unless they really deserve it.
How sad it would be seeing a child getting this and cry at Christmas :(

Hey guys.

He also had these devices for sale from an older article: http://engadget.com/2006/01/15/keepin-it-real-fake-weekend-edition-most-blatant-nano-knockof/
