It is a special antenna for Japanese digital mobile TV... a totally mobile-only, free, wireless TV network... so in Japan, if you don't have TV on your phone, your are a total loser and your kawaii factor drops to seven ranks below "Hello Kitty Level." The antenna stays, I say!

The second picture looks like an old "transistor" radio - the antenna has to go!

That and the border around the screen needs to be trimmed down (or make the screen larger).
