How-to upgrade Fujitsu Siemens N560 GPS to WindowsMobile 6
Alright, so it's a discontinued model and all, but is that necessarily a bad thing? A member of the dubiously named PPCWarez forum has figured out a way to upgrade this heavily featured PDA to WindowsMobile 6 capability. Fujitsu Siemens seems pretty unlikely to make the effort to upgrade, so these talented fans have stepped in and done it for them. Check out the package over at the link, making sure to reclick once you've accepted the terms and conditions of viewing the forum. Again, there's a slight tinge of dubiousness to the whole proceedings, so don't blame us if by some freak happening your precious PDA gets bricked.

So, is it a GPS or PDA? I'd assume PDA since I don't see a reason to upgrade your GPS with WM6. I'm personally still waiting for someone to find a way to upgrade my HP Hx2495.

Don't hold your breath on the HP Update front. I waited a whole 2 years with iPaq, and then I switched to Toshiba and got the shaft again.
PDA's are dying. Let them die already.

Indeed, Windowsmobile PDA are a bit useless, specially since battery just last a few hours, so just let them die.

I'll be upgrading mine tonight, don't use it so doesn't matter if it bricks, I'll post my findings here for anyone interested.

Worked flawlessly, need to install some GPS software to test if the signal lock is any better (used to take almost 20 mins to get 3 sats.)

How's the transcriber? I heard that the WM6 Upgrade kills that function.
I'd love to upgrade my 560, but rely on it so much that I don't know what I'd do if I bricked it.
